Hi every one,

Does anyone know what is the average wage for locals?
My accomodation will be paid by the company and the car too but I want to hire a maid and maybe a driver since I don't want to drive.

Hi Marc

the average income is not easy to determine but for a driver you can get one for $600 to $800 per month (for a local).
For maids ? unfortunately no Iraqi accept to be a maid so you have to get one from abroad. There are many Ethiopian and Bangladeshi maid around but you need to get them through an agency. i think they cost around $300 but you have a lot of costs to bring them in (agency fee, tickets, immigration, etc).

I am an Australian/Iraqi just moved in in the last few weeks. Let me know if you need any info.
