Beaches, where to?

Good day guys,

I have been taking my girls to the beach and never made it past Faheeheel.

I have heard there are some nice, clean beaches further South.

I do not want to end up in a private beach.

Does anyone have any recommendations with directions on where to go for an afternoon of just waddling in the water?

Thanks

Hi there..
really wish you luck with trying to find a beach. Do no go anywhere between Kuwait city and Fahaheel as it is highly polluted with sewage liberally dumped ever few KM all along the coast there.

This is the only country in the world where they have totally ruined 100%  of their total coastline.. there is NO open space between the oil refinery and the Saudi Border.. 90 km of it, metre by metre, cm by cm and inch by inch - I know what i'm saying as I've driven along the whole coast over the last 2 years and I've still haven't given up -  There is no public beach where the general population, local or expat, can enjoy the open space of an unpolluted beach, without someone's chalet in the background,  with clean sea water and a place without garbage or trash to let your children roam around and have a good time..Been told that while the chalets are private property, the beach is supposed to be free for everyone to use, but good luck in trying to find any access to the beach...  and if you manage to go between the chalets, you have to face tens of ski jets driving within metres of the shore disregarding anyone in the water. Alternative is to buy a boat and go to one of the islands of the coast.. that is what locals are doing these days.

Good luck with the search and let me know.. there is about a 100 m stretch that is open near the Seashells resort.. but going there is a health hazard.. some idiot now has set up a little hut with lots of jet skis for rent, and the 'beach' has thousands..and THOUSANDS of plastic bottles and garbage on it.. so it is not a safe environment for kids.. ie with the garbage and the jet skis driving over people - literally! So it's 46c of heat..and NO BEACH TO GO TO!

Go down the 30 past where it meets the 40 and take the road for Khiran resort. Some lovely beaches there but no facilities or shops. Use McD's on 40 first!Take water and all you will need with you.
Have fun and enjoy!
