Dust storms in kuwait

Post new topic

sajjadahmed_70

Now a days dust storms are very frequent in kuwait and they will last till August 2012 as predicted by the concerned department. It is recommended that children, elderly people and those suffering from asthma and allergies should take special preventive measures during this season to avoid medical complications.

Those who inhale dust due to any reason during the dusty weather, should eat few dates and if possible, take a few cups (small arabic finjans) of arabic Gahwa (arabic coffee) which arabs prepare with bun seeds and cardimom. If it is not possible then only a few dates will flush out all the inhaled dusty particals from the body through urination.

Hi Nayana
Greetings..

How are you? Thanks for viewing my post. Yes this is true and has historic facts. Arabs who used to live in desert centuries before where there was no concrete houses wee built and they had to face great sand storm, used to eat dates and drink gahwa. In the current era, this is arabs tradition specially in the Gulf to eat dates and drink gahwa. It not only protects them from the aftermath of inhalling dust but further give them strength and vigor.

Dates are very rich with many minerals and vitamins and if you take few dates every day you well feel strength in your body.
take care

@sajjadahmed_70 - Thanks for posting useful info. I too didn't know dates and gahwa are good remedies for dust inhalation.

Lets hope the dust doesn't reach Bahrain  ;):P
