I'm close to move to kuwait and since diving is one of my favourite sports and interests and I'm a certified diver , i would love to know over a personal experience if there are good diving sites as reef and aqua life and many species of fish deserve to bring my wet suit , regulator and BCD !
One more thing if 5mm wet suit is considered conveniant for the tempreature in kuwait or i need a 3.5mm as  its pretty warm in summer ?
Regards

Thx for info ,
And Dahab is a nearby town to Sharm al shaikh but totally different, actually I'm not a big fan of Sharm but I'm a loyal one of Dahab.

I took a look at dive centers in kuwait as official websites and some reviews but it's kinda not enough about what did they write about these centers ! So i thought if any expat here has dived in different places can give a preliminary evaluation how is diving in kuwait and can compare it to other places and if really should bring my diving gear. Because im really confused about it since some websites and reviews stated its a good enough dive sites in Kuwait not great as Red Sea or The Maldives but still fine and others said it's not that nice thing specially the visibility is always low in kuwait's openwater.

In terms of coral/ marine life, Kuwait is a bit lacking, Allybee did post a good link in a thread entitled "diving anyone".

as for Dahab and Sharm, i regret to inform u im a die hard Sharm loyalist :) I visited Dahab, it seemed more like the north coast really, it was kinda dreary. maybe coz we didnt know anyone there, but i found it rather plain compared to Sharm. In sharm I stuck to snorkeling in shark's bay mostly.

Hi again legacy
Just i need to say Dahab is like nothing at all as the North Coast. North coast is just a big resorts with no spirit at all it's more artifical and man made place . But Dahab is a different case where Dahab still keep its native bedouin people and they are great plus a big percentage of locals are Europeans so you can find exotic wonderfull mix . The living there is too easy and more bohemian . 5 stars hotels are not popular there but bedouin lodges , motels and camps are more favored and popular indeed . Plus sharm is very good for going wild and partying hardly but i think i had enough of this era while Dahab has few clubs and pubs more familiar with Reggae Music performed lively by African and Jamaican bands or playing back our favourite rock classics of the musical English invasion rock bands .
What i disliked about Sharm Al Shaikh diving happenes in big groups and that's really bad thing which allows more destruction of the reef while no real standards or even a regular clean up campaign but it's the otherwise in Dahab where many reefs still look virgin .
Travellers and backpackers always may say being in Dahab like being in in San Juan ( Puerto Rico) or in Goa ( India ) yet in smaller version . The same carefree spirit and lifestyle.

which furthers my previous point that dahab is best explored with someone from the location, as opposed to showing up suddenly and expecting to be immersed in its culture. yes, i have heard that it is much easier on the purse strings that sharm, i have also heard rumors of an area there where police fear to go, a sort of smugglers paradise.

unfortunately, you are correct. i have witnessed first hand the greed of people destroy the coral.

sharks bay used to be beautiful. the coral was maintained, ships were only allowed to dock at one side of the bay. year by year, they would transgress and venture closer to man-made piers that take people to the water, instead of walking over the corals. they would pick up and drop off people there. greed made them that way. and now, it is but a mere shadow of its former splendor, all color having been drained from its pristine beauty, and the smell of gasoline reeks all through out the water.
