Anyone Going Islamabad or What is inexpensive way to send Docs

the only inexpensive way (and also unreliable and risky for docs) is to go to airport terminal at any of the daily flight timings and hand it over to any body randomly who is willing to take it.. otherwise DHL at 400sr is not a costly deal, specially if docs are important ones!

@ DrHassanMalik - I send some docs (4 - A4 size pages) to India, couple of months back through DHL, the actual price was 105 SAR and guess what I had a discount of 50% on this price. So the whole idea of telling is that 400 SAR seems to be a bit high, though I'm not sure !!!

well that's strange becoz i sent a single 4a size doc about 2 months back to Islamabad and after discount of company, i got it around 200sr. actual price was near 400sr.. so India is still further away from ksa, den Pakistan, when it comes to distance! its price should have been more logically ! strange world..

How you got Discount? are you working in same company?

I need to send 2 A4 size papers, not important one.

Our Company has a Tie Up with DHL, hence the discount !

I guess its way cheaper in Saudi Post compare to any other Company providing delivery service.

Yes its cheaper and delayed deliveries too with poor quality service amd all that !

we are part of saudi binladen group so got discount from that aspect..

The company discount I got from FedEx lowered the price from 290SAR to 102SAR two weeks ago to the USA.  Try FedEx--I would think the price is a LOT cheaper to Pakistan than the US.

i asked from Fedex, My Friends works there .. for Pakistan its 270 SR and He can give me 10% Discount.

Its Not much but its in my mind that why spend 250+ for paper that is not useful for me..

Hey, I agree.  I found the 290SAR price SHOCKING!  But I needed to get the papers to the States and, importantly, they HAD to be safe so I was willing to spend the money. After I'd made a dozen phone calls, I found out that FedEx was the cheapest (I thought UPS would be, but it was considerably more!).

You might have send it from Jeddah and I sent it from Riyadh, So the distance thing is nullified....

well yes if the docs are not worth and not useful then take the risk and send em absolutely free of cost via the route i told earlier
TIP : try select the random guy to be middle aged instead of some care free lad..

Yes, Asked from DHL and they have more rates, they asking for 299 SR.

I don't know why? Before some days my friend sent Documents in about 200 SR.

Your tip is very good, but i cannot find a time to do this.
