Iqama profession changed cant get family visa till further notice

Hello there!

I've been in the Kingdom for 6 years and planning to bring my wife and planning to build our family here as we're newly married. My sponsor changed my iqama profession from "Mechanical Instrumental Technician" into "Marketing Specialist" which match my actual work (Sales) and degree I had.

Unfortunately, Istiqdam rejected me twice. First here in their Jeddah Office, reason was my actual sponsor address was Dammam but they didn't mention any details. So I went to Dammam, and Istiqdam rejected me twice. Reason was they're not allowing (for now) people who changed iqama profession and needs to wait for few weeks. It's been 2 months now and several follow ups made still no information when and if they will allow expats to get family visa.

Last information I got was Istiqdam may allow to receive applications after ramadan but all are hearsay only as per the Istiqdam personnel I talked to.

Can anyone provide me details, information's and clarifications on how and when can we get family visa for iqama holders who changed their profession.

Hello,

That's not correct, My friends changed his profession from Plumber to Computer Tech and he got the visa for his family...
This was done some 1 month before ....

@Martenes,
The visa rules here are so unpreditcable and can change overnight. 2 months back, 2 of my colleagues changed their professions and got the family visas instantly. Now living happy ity their families. There are so many factors that may affect (even some strange ones like the mood of the istaqdam office personnels, city etc).
Unfortunately, there is no other option other than to wait and apply again after a few weeks.
