Hi there,

I should arrive early September in Bahrain and I would like to know if I will be able to buy a car having a multiple entry Business Visit Visa? Can I open a bank account with the same type of visa?

Thanks a lot for your advise

:/ i think Visit visa not enough to buy a Car here in the kingdom , Even if u go for Rent a Car , sure they will ask for "Central Population Registration (CPR) card number which is the national ID card in Bahrain, This will show the legality of a foreign worker in Bahrain.

Khush-Singh said it all, You won't be able to buy a car or open a bank account in Bahrain while on a multiple entry Business Visit Visa, you need a valid residence permit and an ID card to do any formalities in Bahrain ;)

Depending on your work and your company's relationship with banks, you may be able to open a bank account temporarily but this will not give you any credit facilities. The bank will ask you to provide your CPR number within 6 months otherwise they will have a right to close your bank account.

I would check with your employer to see how things goes.

Certainly true...

As mentioned already in this thread, It certainly helps to have your CPR and Residence permit for such things! This makes the process much easier and smoother.. :)
