Hey guys just want to find out some info about the collage in Malta, I will be finishing school pretty soon and would like to know what it's like and what courses are available, also fees and really any advice about anything connected. Including where I should stay? No links please, I would like your perspective.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Joe,

are you talking about the University of Malta?  They have a very good website and offer a whole bunch of degrees. For EU citizens most are free or low cost.

The cost of studying in Malta is given by the University as around 1000 €/month. I can't say much about the standard except that Malta is a very small island and certainly not comparable with one of the large universities in mainland Europe or colleges in the UK. That does not mean it is 'bad' - just that it is not that well known.

The University is near Msida/Gzira so it would make sense to live in that area and the prices are also lower than in more popular areas.

What subject are you considering studying?

I've always been interested in subjects around IT but am very unsure about my future. This is one option that you actually gave me, but as I said before I am very uncertain, it's only a option. Is the collage near st Pauls bay or anywhere with good nightlife ?

Hi Joe,

the University of Malta is in Gzira. There are no Colleges in that sense in Malta. Malta has about 350.000 inhabitants .... so it is difficult to compare to Irish or UK or EU universities or colleges.

The Maltese nightlife is mainly in Paceville but I'm not sure what that has to do with college?

Just wanted a good idea to where I should stay, at the collage or near it as I like the nightlife.
Thanks !

Actually ricky I was looking at uom website and found a course I was intereste in. It said it was like  200euro per semester ? When you said it would be around 1000 were you including accommodation ?

Hi Joe,

no, I was quoting the cost of living in Malta for students. The UoM calculates them at around 1000 €.

Cheers
