Hi

Ok ill start from the beginning. I'm a 26 year old female currently staying in south africa. I was born in russia to a south african mother and british father. So I'm lucky enought to have a british passport.

I recently just decided that it was time to leave and try something different, and also I dnt want to wake up one day and regret not ever moving to the uk. My father is in the uk but we dnt really have a relationship so I dnt want to burden him by going to stay with him.

I have a marketing diploma and working experience in the banking industry but dnt know if that would be of any good in the uk.

So basically I dnt know where to start, I need accomodation, a job etc etc, pls any help will do.tnx

Hello Faye,

I grew up in South Africa and am now living in London.

I'll be glad to give you any advice on your relocation here to the UK. You'll be coming on a 5 year ancestral visa I'm guessing?

Hello Faye.

I suggest you look into a studying (graduation or post-graduation) programme. It would be a nice way to land and make friends, socialize, etc.

Also I think it would be nice for you to read a bout it and see what advantages or restrictions you would have in terms of citizenship, work permit, etc.

One thing you must do is to try reaching your compatriots who live or have lived there and get deeper information on that. Anyhow you will need some support from the South African community when living in the UK.

All the best,
Pedro.
