Post new topic

Hi,

that is a very large question with a lot of possible choice. So, to answer, I would propose to divide movies in different kinds and so to answer to these different kinds :
     - Favorite Action & Adventure :
     - Favorite Anime & Animation :
     - Favorite Comedy :
     - Favorite Drama :
     - Favorite Historical (or directly connected to History) :
     - Favorite Horror :
     - Favorite Romance :
     - Favorite Sci-Fi & Fantasy :
     - Favorite Western :

     - Favorite Soap & TV series :

Try to put the original title and the english one with the year and the original country... If the english version does not exist, try to translate the title by yourself... But just do as I will do soon.

I hope this post will have lots of answers ....

Laurent

Hi,

I'm afraid I don't have very sophisticated taste in movies - as a typical North American, all I really watch are Hollywood movies. But here are some of my favourites:

     - Favourite Action & Adventure : Braveheart (USA 1995)
     - Favourite Anime & Animation : Sleeping Beauty (USA 1959) or Shrek (USA 2001)
     - Favourite Comedy : Happy Gilmore (USA 1996) or Monty Python's The Meaning of Life (UK 1983)
     - Favourite Drama : The Usual Suspects (USA 1995)
     - Favourite Historical : not sure...
     - Favourite Horror : none
     - Favourite Romance : The Princess Bride (USA 1987)
     - Favourite Sci-Fi & Fantasy : Star Wars series (USA 1977, 1980, 1983, 1999, 2002, 2005)
     - Favourite Western : ???

     - Favourite Soap & TV series : M*A*S*H (USA 1972-1983), any recent Star Trek series (USA 1987-2005), Friends (USA 1994-2004)

Very difficult choice... especially the history movies. And Romance ? How am I supposed to answer that one? I'm never the one who pick up romantic movies ;) ... And some movies actually belong to various categories.

     - Favorite Anime & Animation : Shrek 2/Team America
     - Favorite Comedy : Human Traffic (UK)/Mes Meilleurs copains (My Best Friends: 1989: France)
     - Favorite Drama : Les Invasions Barbares (Canada)/American Beauty
     - Favorite Historical (or directly connected to History) : Kafka (1991)/Ridicule (Ridiculous: France)
     - Favorite Horror : The Others (Los Otros)/Jacob's Ladder
     - Favorite Romance : Great Expectations/In The Mood For Love
     - Favorite Sci-Fi & Fantasy : Bodysnatchers/In The Mouth Of Madness
     - Favorite Western : Once Upon A Time In The West/Dead Man
     - Favorite Soap & TV series : 6 Feet Under (2001-2005)/Desperate Housewives (2004-2005)
