Dear  Friends,

I am Pakistani national, MBA in Marketing and working in Dubai for General Motors since 2000. I like Dubai but do to hot weather I would love to move to Malaysia. I am earning & US$ 2000 per month as a Sales Support Executive.

Could I get a job with the same or higher salary in Malaysia and what is the best way to find a job.

Thanks in advance for your response.

Hi, the only people I know in the auto industry who are expats are engineers, production managers and that sort of thing. Never seen a non-local in sales and marketing - almost impposible to get an employment pass I suspect for that unless very high level. All the car sales people I ever met, and some make very good money, are Malaysian.

As you work for GM you need to network in your industry via the contacts you must have made if senior enough to get a job in Malaysia - not being negative but some jobs are definately for Malaysians only - you can't blame Malaysia for protecting jobs here otherwise half the planet would just come here to work!
