Hi folks,
it looks likely that I will be out in Tripoli in about 6 weeks time. What is the situation with regards to Christmas out in Libya ?, I know it is a Muslim country, but does work continue as normal during the festive period ?.

Never been here for Christmas but from what I gather it's just business as usual. Doesn't really make any difference this year as it falls on a Friday anyway. Lots of expats seem to take a few days off and head somewhere more Christmas-friendly.

Cheers mate. If I am indeed out for the festive period I will see if I could maybe pop over to Malta for a couple of days, depending on flight prices.

Usually its just a normal working day. Most companies will give expats the day off, those that have remained, as there is a mass exodus the week before.
If you are planning to go out over Xmas, get your flights booked now or you may regret it.
