Question about traveling and living in multiple EU countries

I'm getting myself very confused and hoping someone may be able to help.

We are all U.S. citizens. My husbands company has offices in France, Spain, Germany and England. We have been given permission to work in Spain or France for 1 year. The company will handle the paper work. Our question is, is it possible to live in Germany, France and Spain for say 4 months each instead of living in 1 country for the entire year? Would we require work visas from all 3 individual countries?

All my husband requires is a steady secure internet connection. He works remotely. We would love to expose the children to a variety of cultures if possible. I am just unsure how we would go about this.

Any comments would be welcome!
