Moving to Switzerland in October - looking for input!

Hello,
we are a family of four, originally from France and have spent the last 12 years in California. Our 2 kids (8 and 10) were born in the US and have spent all their school years in the American school system (Montessori method).
We will be relocating in October with my company based in Bern. We are thinking to live in Fribourg or Neuchatel to be in the French speaking part of Switzerland and make it easier for my husband to find a job. I do have a few questions and would love input from the group
- we are looking for a nice neigbourhood - great for families, with some international presence (for our kids to meet with other English speaking kids)
- we are looking for good schools (private or public)
- we are also looking for best ways to maintain their "English" level and American culture if we end up selecting a Swiss (French speaking) public school.
Any advice would be fantastic. Thank you!

Family on the move!
