I'd like to help clean up the website

Thanks comet1, I agree with you we definitely have to do something to maintain the blog directory. I have to make this easier. Give me a week or two and I'll install a "report system". We already thought about all this a while ago (remember this thread) but as I might move to the other side of the planet ( ) very soon I didn't concentrate on that

The best thing to do would be (I think) to add a "report" button next to the title of every blog in the directory. If you click on this button, you would have several options:
>report a broken link
>the blogger moved to another country
>the blogger went back home

do you see more things/options to report?

This way the maintenance would be participative

About those who didn't post for ages, it is slightly different, I have to program something that will automatically check blogs for new posts every day. I'd like to see (last post on 'date') after every blog

Note that all these improvements are part of the v2.0 version of the Expat.com website ... (Yes, I am thinking about a new version)

Looking forward to those changes, but in the meantime I was hoping to relieve the burden from you a bit, spread the work around so to speak.  I am no webmaster though, and I guess it's a little more complicated than your just sending me permission to hit a delete key.

But the problem is, the longer it takes, the larger the task at hand.  And not to be critical, though I have in my latest post linked directly to the expat-blogring and of course have a link in the sidebar, it's like the feeling I get when I have friends coming over and the place is a mess.  I want to say, "sorry about the clutter..."  you know what I mean?  :-)

On a related vein... is it possible to change the blurb that is on the list?  The description I put down is pretty vague and I'd like to tighten it up a bit.
