Parks in Riyadh

Post new topic

Are single western men allowed in any of the Riyadh parks on Thurs/Fri or are they all family only? If so which ones.

Thanks.

Hi there,
Most of the things in Saudi are dependent on the mood so is the case.
There is salama park (type salama park in google maps to get location) in riyadh at the end of kind fahad road.
Its a nice and huge park with an artificial lake which makes that place bit of humid - something you want in such dry weather.

You gotaa try your luck.
best of luck

I had a western male friend who used to go lots of places by himself  when it was family day and nobody ever said a word to him.

So here comes the confirmation from EB maestro :-) Go ahead guy!!
Alliecat why don't you start some open consultancy? :) I think after an year you will ne able to write a book for Living in KSA.

@pk lol   I know little bits and pieces--the guy with the *real* knowledge here is TLL.  I really think he should open a visa consulting agency!

But seriously, my Western friend went to the Malls, everything, on family day and nobody ever bothered him.  I *hate* to say this but it seems like the prejudice against single guys here applies mostly to single *Saudi* guys--it's like everybody anticipates bad behavior on their part.  It's a pity because the vast majority of Saudis are gentlemen (at least in my experience).

But for me I havent seen any western in the parks in riyadh.
