Yeah?why does this happen. Why do we not a have a long string and end up being of assistance to the new members?Do you think the moderators/Group leaders should turn mentors and do some handholding in the initial phase?may be a chat section could help.It is confusing.

Why do we not a have a long string and end up being of assistance to the new members?

really good idea, I invite you to share your experience on the forum first (with a forum, you can capitalize ... with a chat, you just can't)

All the best,

Julien

Dear Julien, this invitation is an honour.
I tell one horror story(I had requested the expat to tell her own ) related to tourism in Mumbai.
a tall, dark and beautiful girl from Ivory coast went to the gateway of India. This was before much before the terrorist attack and rode a pony for about 25-30 minutes(as told by her after the incident)to a businessman from Daula,Cameroon, who interpreted over the beer that she was made to pay Rs. 3000/-.I think this is not good  and something ought to be done about such things. You have a Rs. 20 worth of garland being sold to Europeans for Rs.220/- and 50 gms of Turmeric powder from the glass bottle  packed in paper bag for Rs, 80(boils down to a rate of Rs 1600 per kg.)in Crawford Market.
This therefore gives rise to theories about starting to bargain at half the price or 1/5th.
