hey hilton

I can't really advise you about the salary, but regarding the security situation, its perfectly safe here. myself will be moving to erbil in a couple of months. I went there last month for a couple of days, people seem nice and welcoming. communication with the locals might be a problem if you don't know Arabic/Kurdish.

Hilton

thx khubaib for your value infromation but I am still wondering about Scale salary??

thx guys for help in advance

Hi Hilton ...

First; I agree with every word khubaib mentioned.

I am not sure about the salaries but it should be 800-1200 I assume, and hotels should provide accommodation which will make it easier for you to survive. Cheap or expensive; that depends on where are you coming from .. I can give you some examples though:

All in US Dollars:
- taxi from 2.5 minimum to 5 within the city, public transportation sucks and network coverage is bad.
- cheapest meal ( rice plus side plate in tomato sause ) is 2.5 (doublicate if chicken or meet is included), a shawarma sandwitch is 1 per piece. Food supplies are cheap from supermarkets if you cook at home.
- telecommunications "0.5 average per minute INT./ 0.1 average per minute local) and Internet access through mobile is 30 a month and it sucks. Wifi is widely available and fairly good I think it's 50-100 a month depends on the package.

There are some tools to measure your self, my advise is NEVER EVER accept any offer that doesn't include accommodation because the minimum house rent is 400 a month "not furnished".

I hope this was useful and I wish u luck
