Regaridng money it is money you  have to pay it is amount you have to get in your pcket it has to be minmum 1000 $ and in air port they will ask you about this maount then you have to show them money then they will ask you to chnage it to libyian dinars then you can entre libya
it is just new rules to reduce bad and poor people to be in libya
these new rules for egyptian

about the new rule of showing 1000$ in the airport or in the border is true . but if u come through company or let us say sponser u don't need that amount .
and yes there night life in Tripoli but privatly ..and if u r asking about shops ,,yes always u can get what u want even late night ,,,

yes ı called the ambassy they told me that ı should have an amount of 1000 dollar even if ı will go with my husband who will work there, it is not a problem.

and for night life i know it is not like europe but at least we can find some good restaurant.

for shopping is there good supermarket where i can find several choises of food and house important needs.

at last, ı wouldlike to know people behaviour towards a young woman. is it safe to go outside with my husband, to shop or to eat outside by night, ı hope that life will be easy for us.

We have been living here for almost 3 years and so far we haven't heard or been invloved in any balatant harrassment incidents while out and about.

When my wife goes out alone, yes she faces some catcalls, whistles and what nots but as Laurie put it............ ignore them and go about your business.

My wife drives and has been driving here all the time since we came, so far so good.........
