Hello. I am new to this forum and hoping to get acquainted with other ex-patss living in Malaysia. I have received a job offer for an ESL-teacher position in Selangor. I would like to know about the community and the culture, especially with regard to single women. Is there a website that has good information? Are there other ESL teachers living in the area who can tell me something about their experiences? Appreciate the info.

but i would suggest it would be best if come for a short visit before you make the decision

Hi welcome! Err by selangor you mean where? It's like saying "Texas" it's big and vast but less cowboy hats lol

In Malaysia single women have no big problems especially if you are happily single (!)
