I will be graduating in December, and I was thinking of trying out my luck in finding a job in Malaysia as a fresh software engineer( by fresh I mean no prior provable work experience). But first I want to know the chances of this happening. Do you know anyone who followed this path, also is foreign software engineers in demand in Malaysia??

Hi main problem is that you have to be paid 5k when going rates for grads is 1.8k and the reason why cyberjaya exists is that Malaysia produces loads of fresh grads in IT. So why employ you with no skills or experience? There are lots of unemployed Malaysian grads now with good degrees from western countries. And they are cheap and no wp hassles. So the maths is against you I'm afraid. Maybe get some work experience first?

Thanks for the analysis Nemodot :D
Just one more thing!!
I know this is not the forum for asking questions about Singapore job market, but what do you think about Singapore, I have heard that there is a employment deficit there in some new professions such as IT and many foreign workers are heading there.

FYI,
Malaysia Immigration just loosen the rules a little. For IT related jobs, you can get working permit with salary >RM2500.
