Are the recommended inoculations needed or not? Did you get them before you went out. Thanks

Mandatory vaccinations: None

Recommended: Depends on who you listen to, but generally Hepatitis-A, Typhoid & Tetanus. If you are planning to travel further south in Africa you should also get Hepatitis-B, meningitis and Yellow Fever.

Most of these are good for 10 years and you can get boosters for all of them in Tripoli. Some vaccines do not give protection for up to 2 weeks so get them done before you arrive.

Most folk don't bother however I would highly recommend having Hep B
