What's your opinion?

waalaa25

but shariah law do not stop anyone from  FREEDOM of EXpression

TheLegendLeads

Guys, in my view Shariah law impacts 50% of the applied human rights. The rest contributed by:

1- The local culture - 20%
2- The Kingdom sort of government system - 30%

It's complicated :)

Thank you Henry Kissinger. ;)

Freshlikesushi

you should go protest about it and let me know how that works

anyone remember the big protest that was supposed to happen as part of the arab spring movement?

like 4 people showed up and got arrested
HILARIOUS

KSA is so brainwashed its funny. the GOV hands everything out to its citizens and lets TCNs run the country. its so ass backwards.

i like the place though, it has a certain thing about it that keeps me entertained

Because people have come here willingly and most of us CAN leave when we want to.

Third world workers (Indians working in construction, etc.) are treated like shiat in Dubai, too (here's one article:  http://www.migrant-rights.org/2009/04/0 … -of-dubai/   and there are many more).  So it's not just Saudia.

:) Don't let yourself be bothered by the stuff you can't change. The right move is to limit your expectations: Don't plan to stay for a long time if you're not comfortable. Set up short term goals leading to long term REAL targets, put your full efforts to achieve them and leave.

The answer to your WHY is: IMPACT. True what you're feeling and true what Alliecat pointed out above. But does it impact UN or HR organizations in any way?

Popolocroix

Im sure no....! They still get their supply of OIL, right? ;)
