Hey all you peeps interested in Scuba certification...
I got a hold of an instructor, and got a special deal for our group...
Normal price for the cert course is 1800SR
We can get it for 1200SR since we are coming as a group.
There will be other equipment to buy (mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuit) but not until after the first session where he will explain what you will need.
There is a theoretical class
then pool training
then open water training
He can arrange the training to be anywhere from 4pm to 9pm, so it works for those of us with day jobs.
After the course we will have the first level cert, which is valid anywhere in the world :-)
IM READY!!!!
Who's in??????

Ray

CONS: Not so far.
PROS and CONS of SCUBAMASTER:
PROS: Provides you a Free learning DVD. I haven't tried them personally due to their timings restricitions.

I have inboxed you the details
You guys should know which organization is going to be certifying you, There are many and there's aren't much disadvantages of been certified by any, Very few places might not recognize the license from some, Padi is most well know.
If you are talking about padi level one certificate, I would advice you that you don't go for level one because level one means you can't dive with out instructor, so diving would be bit hard. You can directly apply for level 2, which means you can dive without instructor and till 18m (instead of just 12m).
Also someone mentioned that 15 for open water and 50 for Advanced. In padi 18 is open water and 40 in advanced.
below and near 40 is dangerous with normal equipment.
Unless he was talking about different agency, there is something wrong with there information.
Also ask the instructor for his or her instructor no so you can be sure he's not scamming you.
No worries!
We have the most awesome PADI instructor in the Middle East!
We've been doing lots of dives already.
Great stuff!
