wireless modem, internet on phone?

Hi,

I got internet from GO and opted to pay a little extra for the wireless modem. The internet now works fine on my laptop. (my laptop finds the signal of the modem, is logged on to it, and then I have to connect to the internet via a GO ADSL account).

Since I choose to have a wireless modem I hoped I could also connect my mobile phone to wifi so I could at least use it at home. However, my mobile phone finds the signal that is send by the modem and can connect to it, but it doesn't get an internet connection.
I assume this is because on my laptop I also log on to the ADSL account which my phone doesn't give as an option.

Does anyone know whether it is possible to get internet on my phone in the house with this kind of modem?!
