Befriend someone or send a message, always a tricky one when new

Hi there, I am new on the site, after having been expatriated from Belgium to HK. Obviously I would like to meet other Belgians (but any other nationality will do :) ). It's always tricky, whether you need to just befriend someone and then see whether they are interested to get to know you or just send a message right away and risk people find you 'pushy' :). Anyway, since I am an expatriate, I am open to get to know more people here to make my social life somewhat easier.
Finally, I do not look like a Belgian but I do am. Let's say I might not be accepted as a full grown Belgian but maybe neither as a full grown Chinese :).

Head to Soho, LKF, Central and you will run into the expats.

Hey man, alles goed?? Lkf is so much fun. I meet the craziest people there but very few that i ever see again since many people are just here on vacation. And the grass is expensive as well! sheesh, so annoying lol
