Malta here we come!

MicksCPH

Hi guys

I've been reading this forum for quite a long time now, and I have only positive things to say about everybody on here.

The thing is. I'm moving to Malta in February with my GF.
We are coming in January to sign papers for an apartment, and then we are moving permenently a month later.
We are clear about everything relating to ID card and stuff like that, and we are both EU citizens.

My main issue is just - is it easy to get work down there when you are French? I'm Danish myself, so it proberly won't be a major issue for me, but I'm concerned for my GF.

Or is it quite easy to get when it's not in the holiday season?? We are looking to find a permenant job, and we are planning to stay in Malta for many years to come. Looking forward to hear your responses, guys.

work is not easy to find - it mainly depends on your skill set...low paid unskilled jobs are easy.

we really need more info to help you

Sorry for that. We both have loads of expierence in customer support. At the moment we are both working as second level support for Microsoft Xbox in Dublin.
We are both very lucky that we speak 2 languages fluently, I speak Danish, English and German(Basic) and she speaks French & English (Without the French accent :) )

I've been in contact with Unibet who wanted me to come down from the 8th of October, but that wasn't a possibility for me unfortunately. Other than that, if you guys see anything available.. then let me know!

I can see that you've been working with Ecommerce. I use that every day at my workplace!

Hi Mickey.

welcome to the forum.

With your experience in Microsoft and language skills ( English + French or Danish native speaker) you should both do well in Malta ( in i-gaming or other customer support positions).

Cheers

Microsoft now have european offices in Malta.. Speak to the Dublin office that you are working and see if there is a possibility of a transfer ??

Otherwise, Igaming and IT in Malta are one of the highest paid jobs here.... with your language skills you will have no issues here
