Looking for apartment in HCMC. Anybody recommend good agents/agencies?

Post new topic

Greetings all!

I'm looking for an apartment and I've checked out the Housing section on this site and a few others. Most ads seem to be from agents, so I'm wondering if anybody has a particular agent or agency that they'd recommend, or also any to stay away from. Any other tips would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the forum miiifan!

Please note that you can post an advert in the Ho Chi Minh City housing section specifying your search as well.

Good luck

As I said in another post today - try Craigs List.

< http://vietnam.craigslist.org/apa/ >, < http://vietnam.craigslist.org/roo/ >. I saw at least three shares there this morning.

It depends on where you want to live. So every place there are some agents for those place. Unless they have to contact to others for more information.

If yu want to live in Phu My Hung, District 7, Hochiminh city. So you can contact to Ms My diemmy_tranvn@yahoo.com and mobil:+84 90 267 02 91

If you see a building you fancy, just go and talk to the property management office or an occupant.

Notice how the Trolls pop up from nowhere!

more easy way for u to find a good flat to stay. U should give to the agency where u need or wanna stay at.

Hope u can find a right one.

Tell me who is not looking for money?

Building managers, janitors and security guards all have building contacts.

You have to remember that Agents (!!!)(so called) collect one month's rent as commission which encourages owners to use alternative lead sources.

Remember: Receipts for every penny you pay; registration with the Cong An is mandatory (and free) and always ask what is the total you have to pay monthly - NOT what s the monthly rental rate.

Hi all,
How much would you expect to pay for your apartment?I'm now staying at Saigon Pearl and i have to said it's a good apartment, and in the 22nd floors for lease with 2 bedrooms.

Jaitch

IT is ALWAYS better to stay on lower floors.

When the water stops, you still have it when the penthouse doesn't; when the elevator fails you have a shorter walk; ditto when the generator fails!

If you have a vehicle alarm they won't reach the upper floors (without modification) and if there is a fire you are toast - the TP HCM fire truck ladders are too short!

And you are right in the middle of the smog cloud.

some reasons had been mentioned by Jaitch.

but if i still can make a choice, i still go for the highest floor. Nice view, beautiful wind.

Other than that, just make sure the management system in that particular building is on a good way.

cheers
