Do the public schools provide the lessons in French language?

jjoensuu

Hi

here is another question for anyone who might know.

We may be moving to Netherlands within the next two months, and our daughter (11 years old) who does not yet speak any dutch, would have to start in a public school.

However her french skills are supposedly quite good and thus what I would like to know is whether the public school system in Netherlands provides education in french? I thought that perhaps they do because of being next door to Belgium...of course this can be a completely wrong assumption:P

Thanks in advance,

Helas no they have one hour per week the last 2 years of Middle school. The school does not offer any help for foreign student (such as SPP here in international school).
Both my kids had to stay two years in the same class because of the level of Dutch. You have french school in Den Haag only but they have an international school in Rotterdam (I have no idea of the price)
Hope this help
