Hi needanexperience & welcome to Expat.com!

Your thread has been moved to China forum for better visibility.;)

Do you have any specific question?
In which part of China are you willing to move to?
You're looking for a work in which sector?
Maybe that telling a bit more about your professional experience may help.;)

These articles may be interesting.

Hi,

    Welcome to China!

For jobs, there are many job oppotunities in China. Where do you want to go? For some places, many expats went to there like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. But for others, few went there like my hometown Chengdu--Giant Panda's city with its relaxed culture and fantastic food culture. If you havn't decide where to go yet and want to know more to make decision, I am glad to help you on this.

For visa, it is highly recommended to find a job oppotunity which can provide you working visa. I have find many jobs in my city but whether they can provide working visa, need make sure with employers.

For department, there are mainly two ways to find, through local renting agency and through relaible renting websit(but only chinese edition untill now)

I have met many foreign friends in my city and they are much more experienced in living in China.

Hope you will enjoy days in China!

Thanks Harmonie

I have been looking into ESL opportunities but at this point Id try any area and any sector. I have an associates in applied science. It was geared for programming at first but switched to networking later. I have done a lot of everything in my life. At this point I would love to try the ESL opportunities if it is possible. I tutored quite a few people in algebra while at college and have had many opportunities to train people at some of my jobs. Everyone has always told me I would be a great teacher. Just really want to make the move at this point :D

Hey Jane,

Thanks for the reply. I haven't really thought about where I wanted to go as much as where I could find work so I could go. as long as I have work, place to sleep and can eat I will be happy enjoying the adventure. So I would love your help in deciding where a good place would be to hang my hat :D From the way you described your home town it sounds like it would be a beautiful place to start. I do prefer a warmer climate but I am in Michigan and still can deal with the cold lol. I have applied for my passport and would love to have a job lined up when it arrives.
