I feel your pain. I'm trying to get the hell out of Mississippi. It's not so cold here, but I live two blocks from a beach where the water is brown, smelly, and unappealing. I'm trying to figure out a poor (wo)man's move to the Caribbean. I may have to sell a kidney.

I can related Left Canada a while back and just celebrated our 4 year anniversary living in San Pedro Belize this past January.

If this is what you want stick with it and start planning.

I'm 46 years old and have reached my US of A limit. Looking to make a move to Ambergris Caye. A friend of mine visits guite often and feels its the best value for the dollar in Belize. I'm a professional Engineer (Thermodynamics) i.e. design cooling and heating systems for residential and commercial buildings. I've read if you volunteer in Belize as a professional it becomes easier to find a job later?
Quest 1. Is Ambergris Caye the best value.
Quest 2. Is volunteering the best way to find a job. Do you have any contacts in the Cooling business?
