Hello,
My name is Vincent, french expatriate in Mauritius, and I will arrive in  Dubai for interviews (and perhaps a future expatriation on site) on December 1st.

I wish I have some small practical information before my arrival, could you enlighten me?

- My fiancee, a Mauritian citizen, lives already in place. Can I stay with her despite the fact that we are not married yet?

- After 30 days, is there a way to extend a tourist visa if waiting for the start of my contract? I read that it was possible to renew the visa for 30 days. And after?

In advance thank you for the time you take to find out.

Shafqat

It's not legal but still you can live with her by making sure that real estate agent doesn’t have any problem.

There are thousand people who are living together in a discreet manner even though if they are not married.

Yes you can renew your visa depending on the category of your visa some are for 15 days, some are for 1 month and some are for 2 months.  I guess on your arrival you can check with Immigration.

VinZe

Thanks Shafqat.
Should I provide a home address to immigration on arrival?

Shafqat

No i don't think so it would be needed i guess the most they will ask for your or any relative/ friend mobile number

VinZe

Ok thanks !

You can do whatever you like, just don't get caught in public. Thousands of people here cohabit.

On a French passport you can just keep doing visa runs in and out to Oman or Qatar.
