detailed road map

hi to all,
i am going to drive extensively in pr for seven weeks...i've never been there before...i need a good, detailed road map...where can i get one?

A GPS device should work fine. Mine has never failed me although I'm sure there may be somes places that are not mapped yet.

tony, i need a map i can hold in my hand so i can see where i'm going, plan routes, etc.....

gregg, i went to barnes and noble...they only had one map, which i bought, but it's more like a tourist map than a detailed road map...pretty disappointing.

We found a regular road map of the entire island (with enlarged maps of the main cities) at Walmart in Manati! Works fine for us. Definitely DO NOT depend on website directions (we looked for Sams Club at sams.com and it showed the store being on an on-ramp to the expressway!)

Google "Scurvy Dog's Puerto Rican Blog" and look for a link to "RobertosPuertoRico". Once there, click on the link near the top of the page that says "Maps of PR". There, you will find a few maps, as well as information on how you can download your own detailed map of PR.
