Why Paying Guests are not encouraged in Riyadh

malisohail

Hi,

I had been looking for a paying guest accommodation with a decent family in Riyadh but invain. I have witnessed that this is something not encouraged in Riyadh even if people are living in abundance.

I guess Lack of trust is the main reason for not having the concept of Paying guest @ Riyadh or for that matter at KSA.

Saudi's don't do this (not even with other Saudi's, to my knowledge) BUT expat families do.  You could quite probably get a room  with a Pakistani family.  Good luck!

Fingers crossed :)

The trend is growing with the inflation. It's not common but it does exist. I lived as a paying guest for a year or so and it was back in 2006/7.

I have a paying guest living with me. It works out well sometimes, depends on your luck. In the beginning, i met 4 guys, finalised one of them who matched my expectations, do check out expatriaties as many Asians tend to use it to advertise. You will probably end up having a good option. :)
