I know they said it was boring in Riyadh... But damn!?!?!

Lol, yeh at least boredom initiated some activity.

But I would also say that KSA is a place where hard, accurate information is VERY difficult to come by, hence the activity.

Anything regarding visas, for example.  You'd think people could just check a website or make a phone call, but oh noooo.. that would be WAY too easy for this place lol

Information (accurate, up-to-date information--because laws are always being implemented or changed and then dropped or changed yet again!) is a precious commodity here.

I have been here for a year - I had a fantastic time and became popular in riyadh amongst the young saudi and non saudis. I had parties, fantastic meals, shisha sessions, driving like a lunitic on tahliyah street - had a fab time.
Best places dammam, khobhar, jeddah - theres more to life than clubbing and drinking.

lol, yeh...life and times in Saudi Arabia. getting an iqama like winning the jackpot :p

Yes which is why there is absolutely no market for pubs clubs or other such like for anybodt over 18....

there is a great market for crack cocaine

does that make it great?

Yes it does... a great product for drug dealers...

Gimme a break, comparing parties with cocaine... sheesh.

Im pointing out your logic is dumb.
The material and subject is irrelevant

This coming from the guy who thinks parties are in the same league as cocaine and hard drugs... I'm so hurt...

Whatever man.

Little point in listening to a man's logic when clearly they lack any sense of logic.

Fact is, parties here are popular, which is why tickets generally sell out. Regardless of what your  'personal' opinions are toward parties, clearly a large chunk of people living in Riyadh don't agree. In fact, a large majority of the world population that drink alcohol, attend parties, go to pubs and clubs don't agree with your assessment that after high school, these activities should stop.

If you feel the need to...great, all the more for everybody else, but like I said earlier....gimme a break.

Maybe that's the reason this KSA forum is the most active on the blog ever and users have more than 2000 posts!

Wasn't that obvious in the first place?

He means that many of us have admitted many times that we have no lives and that's why we're so active on this forum!  So for you to state that as an original thought was a wee bit ludicrous ;)

It seems to be more liberal on the coasts (Damman/Al Khobar and Jeddah) but think of it this way:  Riyadh seems liberal compared to some of the smaller towns.

I think I have ADHD...I am becoming aware about it day by day. I just cannot keep my mind on reading more than two posts on this (or ANY blog for that matter). I want to post something (which I am doing finally after putting off so much), but I get distracted and feel like its too much work and concentration. I dont even know why I am posting this here? Oh wait, I finally realised, on this thread, that I can not concentrate reading long threads. AAAAAAAAH HELP ME SOMEONE!!!

imraan007

Not sure what's the relationship between the veil and intelligence. Nevertheless there r many brilliant veiled ladies around. Especially in my field. The list of published trials in international journals can bear witness to that.
