what did she say to me?

Post new topic

I was comming from office to apartment 40 minutes ago and i took a bus(no 770) at 2030 antwerpen. bus driver opened the middle door. When i got in there were lot of people so i couldn't go to the front to take a ticket.
When the bus finally came to rooseveltplaats i went to her to take a ticket from 2030 to rooseveltplaats and she immediately said something like "nerden mexicand nemend" I tried to explain her but she kept repeating the word "nemend" pointing at the door and she was very rude the way she said it. I felt very bad and left the bus and walked home.

Can someone please tell me what she said to me.

Yeah indeed kind of rude to her. Not sure exactly as your dutch spelling is off however i think it was ment to be niemand which is nobody

Unless you are in a wheelchair or have a pushchair, you must not use the middle door to enter, that's why there are no entry signs on that door. You must wait for the driver to open the front door.

Hi schoolmum,

she only opened the middle door while getting in. I went to the front door and she pointed the thumb backwards and to get through middle door(near KBC bank 2030 antwerpen).

The incident that i was talking about happened after i reached rooseveltpaats. When finally bus stopped at rooseveltpaats i got off through middle door along with others and walked towards front door and went to her for a ticket.

Maybe she was saying the bus was full and was letting people off through the middle door only?

santosh82

maybe but when i went to her, bus was empty. everybody got off (i think it was the last stop). atleast she should have listened to what i had to say. she didn't even let me speak. she just kept repeating the word 'neimend' while pointing at the door.

she was definitely an exception. i have been here for three weeks and everyone was very polite. esp the locals they always smile node their head when you make eye contact and the bus drivers are always helpful.

Yeah I have never had a problem even with not paying a train ticket for my bike up front and waited for him to come and ask to see my ticket before i explained i wasnt sure if i had to buy one and he was so nice same with the metro here all really nice.
