Relocating in May

Post new topic

Martha1227

My husband got a job offer to relocate to Kuala Lumpur, I will be joining him with our 3 kids at the end of May. I will be there in a couple of weeks to look for a place to live and the kids schools.

We will enroll the kids to the ISKL. Which are the best areas to live for expats near that school?

We are considering Mont Kiara, Sri Hartamas and Damansara Heights. Are there any options for pet friendly rentals??

We want to relocate there with our dogs and would love to know if any of you found a way to do it.

Any other advise is greatly appreciated!!!!

If it is with dogs maybe you should try landed property rather than high rise like condominium. These are the good place to stay. But some condominium is pets friendly.

Jas, just wondering which condominium is pets friendly in Kuala Lumpur. Yes, you do get residents 'secretly' keep pets but not advisable. If the management of the building discover that, they will arrange to remove your pets & charge the bill to you !! Sad but true. Btw, I am a dog-lover.

Martha, my advice is just get a landed property and there are plenty around. All the best.

Hi Martha, I'm Christine. I faced the same problem one year ago. I had not one but two dogs; so keeping them a secret was definitely out even though they are both darlings in that they do not bark at all.
I found my present place by chance and it is really pet friendly.
It is in Damansara Heights.
Our Malaysian Council By-Laws prohibit the keeping of dogs in apartments so I shall not publicly name this particular condo. I can openly walk my dogs in and out of my unit.

Cheers.
Christine
