A friend, in conjunction with some of the US Navy personnel living on our compound, are holding a fund raiser, along with a photo exhibition by an experienced ex-pat traveler on January 27th at Bajrai Garden Village compound in Jubail.

One of the US Navy personnel here has family in Haiti and will be taking leave next month to assist in recovery and rebuilding efforts there. The funds will go directly on the ground, rather than through an aid organization. Some people from the American Legion here will be co-sponsoring the event.

A potluck dinner/fundraiser/shindig is how it's being billed with a goal of raising more than 10,000SAR.

Expats and friends interested in attending or even helping sponsor the event can email the organizer David Miretti at dmiretti@gmail.com. Please let him know before Sunday, so that your name can be added to the list at the security gate.
