I had transferred my sponsorship from my father to my current company, do I still have wait for 2 years as this is not my first transfer.I heard that the 2 year limit is for the first transfer and 1 year for subsequent transfers, is this true.Your reply would be highly appreciated.

Dear Sir,

I am an engineer working under the status Mechanical technician and i am hoping to get my status changed to engineer and bring my family to KSA asap. how should I proceed? i.e. through SCE or through the GRO of my company. Also is it possible that i get family status first on this visa and than get the status changed?

Thank you

You need attested degree certificate , if you have then approach jawazat for profession change after registering yourself first with SCE.

Thanks alot sir! How long will it take? do you have a rough idea?

Depends on your certificate attestation status, if all docs in order then the local authorities will not take more than 2 weeks.

The terms and conditions specified are standard and expected. Only one I would look into or has some comments is on point # 12, about your responsibility in having a profession that suits your job. Are you being hired locally or from outside the country. If you are being hired locally, its fine to ask for this, but if from outside the country and they are giving you a visa then they should be giving a profession as per the offer, and hence such a term is "conditional" in the offer. Its not a big deal though.

Ash_adorable

Thanks for the prompt reply,

I am being hired from outside the country, would you recommend to check with the employer on this?

The position offered in my offer letter states "Senior Quality Control Engineer grade(8)"

Yes, if you are being hired from outside this does not make any sense in the offer, since the employer is the one who should be giving the visa. You can mention it , but not a serious issue since the employer might respond that this is a standard clause and that they will take care of the profession through the visa.

Yes you can get visit visa , apply through the MOFA system.

If your employer has refused transfer, then hard luck nothing you can do about it.

Yes, for this profession you can avail family visa provided all other documentation is in place.

Ash_adorable

Thanks HrGuru,

Just one last bit,

1.Since the Visa profession is --> "Operations Analyst"

2. The binding contract contract will be as per the offer letter which is --> Quality Assurance Engineer.

What will be the profession in IQAMA?

This difference of having different profession in VISA and Binding can create any problem specailly in getting my family?

Thanks a ton again

The profession in iqama will always be the one on the visa.  The contract should show the same title as visa / iqama at least in front of the authorities. So yes, there will be a problem if you apply for visa with the contractual title, but this can always be solved by issuing a dummy contract with visa / iqama title.

Dear HR Guru

I have Received My Visa Today, but seems to be an issue there

Name on Visa  "Ashish Ghanshyam Das Virumal Sadhwani"

Name in Passport "Ashish Sadhwani"

Fathers Name in Passport "Ghanshyam Das Virumal Sadhwani"

Seems the Saudi Embassy has embedded my Fathers Name as my middle Name , Is that a usual practice.

A bad experience at the airport would be horrifying, so kindly suggest

Thanks
Ashish

This is normal , as per law the name should be three characters and they insert the fathers name and will be treated accordingly.

Dear HR Guru,

I read your posts with great interest. I came in Riyadh recently. My visa is Telecom Engineer and my degree is BS Computer Engineering. I have already registered with SCE and got membership number. My Iqama is in process. My question is that in the letter which SCE issued to me my profession is written as Computer Engineer whereas my visa is Telecom Engineer. Will the change of profession is required for me in order to apply for the family visa. Since, i did not get the Iqama yet so i am not sure that what profession will be stated on Iqama.
Thanks in anticipation for your help.
Regards,

ahmer707

Dear HRGURU,

i dunno if this is the right topic i have to place my question but here goes.

i was here in Jeddah before as a dependent by my father but then I had to go to the Philippines on Exit for college because i thought i didnt want to go back to the kingdom after.
but now after studying i am currently here again in Jeddah and my father got me by Visit Visa only cause he said that he cannot get me as a dependent anymore because of the exit. i am now 24 yrs old turning 25 this August. (female by the way..).
Is there any way he can get me as a Dependent (Visa) again so that I can have an iqama and work and transfer my sponsorship to a company?

Hope to hearing from you soon. :)
