Hi All.

I've just arrived in Colombo and is in the midst of settling down. Was wondering if there are any expats out there with kids who'd be interested in playdates or even an existing playgroup that I can join for my little girl (she's 4). I am a housewife and would also like to get acquainted with other ladies out there as I enjoy learning other cultures and cuisines.

Hi eyeknee!

We are living in Colombo for 1 month and we have small daughter 2 and half y.o. We have found some playground here. In Cinnamon Grand is a good one in Cheers Pub. There are not many children in the day time but in evening and holiday it can be many. There are TV, games, many toys and good children cuisine. We are often going there.
Another one is in Majestic city. We prefer to go there in the daytime, because in other hours there are too many children.
If you want we can meet somedayand have a nice time. Especially we would be happy to find new friends for our daufhter.

Best place for you to go would be to Fun Factory in Nawala.
Their email address is : info@funfactory.lk
There are many expats who come there too. It is a really nice indoor playground. Do take socks for your kids and yourself. There is a cafe too. It is in Nawala. I am sure you will all 2 to 7 years enjoy it. My kid is 6 years and she still loves it, there is a separate place for the younger kid there itself.
