Is there a TV channel that broadcasts Malta national news in English please?

tina_ch

Don’t think so.

Wouldn’t that be a good reason to learn Maltese ;-))) ?

Daily from 20:30 to 20:40 you have what is called "News in English" on TVM2

Yes it would and I am trying but it is difficult.
We like to learn and that is why I read all the papers, talk to my neighbours and want to watch the news in English so I can learn.
It's a two way thing :-)

Is there anyone who actually lives here that can answer me please?
Thanks :)

Hi Red it is as has been said roughly 5 minutes in english each day

i too believe it to be a good idea to have the news and a maybe handful of progs with english subtitles - but when i have suggested this in public forums in the online papers...it invariably gets the typical malti responce "its our media, our country learn the language" they conveniently forget thats what I am trying to do,,,,,

tina_ch

The “Malti News” do have subtitles, in Maltese.
Good way to learn new words ;-)))
