I'm wondering if anyone recommends a beach resort for families where you pay a one-time fee to enter.

Yes, try the Jeddah Yacht club. If this is too expensive, when you leave the club turn left and follow the coast for about 10 minutes and you will come across some family resorts; however they are pretty basic.

if you go to northren coast "northren obhor " you will find many resorts for family

i recommend " alnakheel makarem " , " lavontine" , coral beach

Durra Tul Aroos is the also nice resort. I am going thr this weekend.

If you are In Khobar there is the Holiday inn, and Movanbeek (i think that is how you spell it) are next to each other on the Half moon road after you take a right turn from Alazizyah round about.

I remember going to either the holiday inn or the hilton in Jubail it was a great hotell on the beach( I went there a very long time ago)
