If you live in Bangkok, you should know everyone and their mother wants to live and work in this country. If you gotta ask, you're not hustling enough. Sorry but that's the truth.

What I have found is that especially in Thailand, a person needs to rely on their self, no one else. Earning a living from self-employment is the easiest way to make a living here. Then, if a job comes, great, if it doesn't at least your expenses are covered and perhaps in the long run you can make a business out of it.

I do wish to start up a business however I am limited to resources I have tried ways n means from the Internet to find business angels for help. There is always a fee to pay but right now I can say I have less than the fee I have to admit to that. Humiliation around me well I have to suck it up. Especially from my wife I felt so and I ain't getting any moral support from her.

I feel ya on the Thai wife. They have a hard time dealing with their man not earning the lions share of income. I know this first hand. All you can do is do your best and try to explain the situation. So do what you can't and then let it rest, no matter how much she complains. If you have to go back to Singapore to work, do it. Go back, find a job, fly her over or fly to Thailand, save, save, save.

As far as not having a "fee," I still say there are ways to start up a small business without paying anything up front. Yes, you'll have to pay a fee later, but if you sell whatever it is you're selling (trying) then the money comes out of that. It may take time but little by little you can scratch your way back. I've done it several times and sometimes it sucks, but like you said, you gotta suck it up. Think about solutions to the problem(s), not only the problem. Good luck.

Just wondering - how much will you pay him per month and do you handle his work permit?
