Hi JFSUSA and welcome to EB :)

JFSUSA

Contractor on a US DoD project.

M.S. in Education - Instructional Design ... did a fair amount of trainng program development in the US before the economy tanked.

Certified Paralegal ... Jones Day, Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher,Wells Fargo Legal Department, among several other smaller law firms. Large document production, complex litigation with an emphasis on the Discovery Phase is a specialty of mine.

Looking to move away from the DoD thing and into the local economy which is far more stable than anything tax dollar driven.

Jazz music, physical culture (Nei Gung, Hakka Tong Long, & Hung Gar mostly along with Kettlebells), sight seeing, travel, and good food are some interests of mine.

quite the extensive list there JFS :)

first half reads like a drill sergeant tho!

have you had a look into crossfit? maybe with your background you can become a certified trainer in no time and use that as your bread and butter - are you familiar with Carl Dobson? He's not a cross fit trainer, however he hosts a group called "boot camp" every wednesday (lo and behold thats today!) at 7pm, Marina beach, right next to the inflatable castles. charges 2KD per person, and the group is growing.

Thanks for the information ... not really all that interested in CrossFit. Limited gains in functional strength. "Convict Conditioning" seems promising as it is the flip side of the coin so to speak for gaining functional strength as advocated by Pavel Tsatsouline. Gradually ramping up ever deepening neurological conncections within muscle bodies rather than all out assualt.

I work Wed. so the class is out for me. It's 5 - 6 12 hour days in my profession ... not a lot of down time to pick up and/or explore different things.
