Photographing models

I am an amateur photographer and recently I have become interested in photographing models (as there are so many beautiful women in Ukraine) and so to that end I have bought studio lightning equipment etc.

My photography is purely a hobby I would not be accepting monies, most if not all the photos would be given to the models for free. Let me just add that these would NOT be pornographic, the very least would be dressed in lingerer.

My question is, are there any legal issues regarding expats taking these kinds of photographs? Ukraine is a country where most foreigners are looked upon as wealthy, I don't want to become an innocent victim of shtrafov!! (штрафов) or be deported.

Cheers.

Unless you don't make any pornographic materials here you are good. What I would recommend you is to sign special form of agreement with model known as 'model release' before you start shooting pictures.  If model younger than 18 years old you have to get model's parents permission.

Always (always, always…) ask to any model (even "friends") to sign you a model release.
Even if your intent is not for a commercial use
If you want I can provide you mine, you will just have to print it and then put the names and signatures.

Thanks for valuable replies about model release forms. I certainly would like a copy of your release form especially if its in Ukrainian/Russian language.

karayuschij

Unfortunately here I have only an english version.

You can get it here:

I have put a pdf
And a file with all the text, so it could be easier to (give to) translate
(My advise is to translate it in russian and not in ukrainian, so you can use it for russian and ukrainian people)

С Частливо!

karayuschij, thank you for your model release. It looks really great.:)

Igorvlad and Karayuschij,  I guess you are both photographers, my setup consists of two 300w flash heads, 30x140cm strip softbox, 120cm octagonal softbox, square 60com softbox, with umbrellas, snoot and background muslin with supports. I need a third slash head really for background lighting and rim lighting, currently using speedlites.
