Hi All,
I will be joining you all on Monday.....after much fun with my paperwork before I even left the UK. Lol !!! Once settled I would be interested in powerboating, sailing, scuba diving plus a bit of socialising.....any help will be gratefully received!

You are right I got here yesterday morning, left the snow in the UK! My company have put me in serviced apts in Fintas but it appears to be miles from anywhere so, I have asked to be moved to Salmiya asap!

I am assuming that tap water isnt to be drunk and I should use bottled water for everthing?

Yeah I live near fintas there's not much around here.

In your flat you should have a filter in the kitchen and for your boiler but I would have some large bottles of water as well (it's cheap enough)

Hi Raptornick,
Hope you have settled now in Salmeya, and started to discover things like tap water and lack of decent public transportation.
I guess you started the process of finalizing the residency and driving licenses paper work. it is along process, but fairly straightforward. Your company HR should help you with.
As AllyBee highlighted, I hope you are accommodating the new weather the worst did not come yet
