Is it me or do others also hear roosters making their noise from 10pm onwards? As have been in Tanza(Cavite),Loay{Bohol} and now in Taguig City near Manila and they all do it.Make noise most of the night, hence dont get much sleep!!

hahahah yes  but  i am use  to it,  i have  a  toko in the  attic of my house, that  is  very loud  and  goes on at  night  they are  a  gecko that  usually live  in coconut trees, but  this  one  has  taken up in the  attic of  my house  they eat  bugs  and  mice  so i am not  getting to excited and  i am use  to it  now  they use  to sell them to Chinese and  Koreans who use  them for medicine a 450 gram toko use  to bring  2.2 million piso, but  it  is  against  the law  to sell them now

Yes i know the toko,as had two in the Nipa Hut in Bohol, also terrible noise. Here in Taguig City there is none of those, however the roosters are every where.Tied up,near each other, waiting till the next cock fight.Did i mention dogs too.Well they should all be eaten!!

from what i have heard the roosters are breed and used for fighting, so you will not be able to escape the noise as just about every one in the asian countries have them, you could try earplugs :)

In all honesty, I think that's pretty normal in the Philippines especially if you live in a place a little bit far from the business center (e.g. mostly are residential places).

You can try lonely48's advise though. Earplugs for now. :)

Hi Mat.Well i can tell you that earplugs dont work for me,as still hear those darn roosters. They start from 10pm,its like they dont want one to sleep. If i had a neighbour like that at home we can make a complaint to the police to get them to shut it up.Dogs too are just everywhere, very bad.Dont they know there is rabies here!

Okieboy

sounds like  you need to move  into one  of  the gated subdivision there  will be  no dogs  or  chickens there

Some drivers brought in roosters to the basement carpark of 1 Serendra.  They were there for at least 3 days.

I hear you. But I guess, there's nothing you can do about those roosters. You can't go to the police and complain (well you can, but I think this will not be taken seriously) since roosters are very typical here in the Philippines.

Best thing you can do practically, if earmuffs or earplugs don't work, is to get used to it. Your body will soon get used to it and hearing those won't make you upset anymore.

Or try a bit expensive workaround, live on an apartment or condo, and choose the upper rooms. All the best for your "rooster adventures". :)
