Hi all,
I've just relocated from the UK to Lux. I'm still hopping back & forth to begin with - wife & three kids (12,9,8) will be joining me in the summer after school finishes.
I'm from Glasgow originally (Celtic before you ask) but have been working in England the past 12 years. The better half is Israeli.
Looking forward to meeting fellow ex-pats and locals alike.
Any tips/ warnings welcome!
Gavin

planning to move there by the end of June as well with twins daughters ages 13. So I would be interested to see the responses but no one replied. Hope we hear back soon.

Yep, we're kinda fumbling our way through the relo process. My company is providing *some* assistance, so I'm relying on the network to fill the gaps. Happy to share what I've discovered so far!
Schools. If your kids speak French and/or German you have more options.
If not then you are down to the fee-paying English-speaking schools. St Georges & the ISL. St Georges is less expensive, smaller and follows the UK curriculum.
ISL is bigger, 40% more expensive and follows the International Bacc curriculum.
We have to foot the bill ourselves, so the decision was pretty easy in the end!

Hi Gavin,

thanks for sharing your knowledge. My girls don't speak French but have been taking French in their British school, Sherborne in Qatar, and they are doing pretty well.
If they end up going to the public school (most likely that's the case for us) they may fall behind a bit but we would have no other choice since we would have to pay for two out of our own pockets. Now have you already registered your kids? We would have to do it when we get there.
