I am a Canadian Citizen, currently residing in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia with spouse visa and I became a non resident of Canada. Recently I got a job offer in the King Abdul Aziz University of Saudi Arabia and I need to apply for a Saudi work visa. Can I process the documents without going to Canada?

If I take the medical reports and all other papers to Ministry of Foreign affairs (MOFA) in Jeddah, will they authenticate the papers?

Is it possible to convert my spouse visa to work visa?

Any help will be appreciated.

You cannot attest the certificates / documents from MOFA, it needs to be authenticated from the place /country of issue.

Since you are now on a dependent visa, this cannot be converted and you will need to leave the country and come back in work visa in order to continue with the job.

You can go to Canada and do all your medical tests and other paper work over there. Even if you're not a resident anymore, usually the employer in Saudi would pay you back.

It costs about a thousand dollars to do the medical tests for the Saudi visa.
