I am Ayurveda Physician from Pune, India. Applied  for  a job in hospital in Kuala Lumpur. Hopefully they find me suitable. If I get the job, I will shift with my wife & kid.
The offer is 1800 USD  per  month, furnished place to live with family & kid, (they said tax exemtion but I need to be clear if tax exempted in Malaysia or in India.)
Need to know- My daughter is 7 yrs old (2nd std of primary school); Will  it  be/ is there any education heavy expenses for me. Government bares it or I need to bare it? My wife is Ayurveda-Panchkarma therapist. Chances to get a part/full time job for her after we shift there? Thanks for your info on blog regarding cost of living. Hope the best for all.

Hi bad news on education - ok primaries are 20-30,000 RM per year. Low end 10,000 RM per year. So 1/3rd of your post tax salary will dissapear on education as a rough estimate. you could use a tuition centre - a bit cheaper.

Education in Malaysia is way overpriced!

you will get taxed if you work in malaysia..USD 1800 not enough for expats.

I note with accomodation provided (taxable benefit) on 6 and half thousand net equivalent say imposible to live and school a kid without serious sacrifice. Certainly every last sen spent wisely and no savings.

I would ask for school fees allowance at least
